Terminal Dream

I think it was last year when I discovered Terminal Dream, a music label from Russia run by Pixelord and Gultskra Artikler. If just the name alone of Pixelord is a great reference to catch my attention, the name of the label (Terminal Dream), their own definition as ``Psychedelic label`` and their artworks made it all easy for falling in love with it. So, I have been going back to their bandcamp / website over an over to find myself enjoying more and more their great taste selecting elegant dreamy electronic ambient music. So, this time instead a single artist I would recommend you pay a good listen to the whole catalog from this label, but specially to their last releases, my favorite ones. Over here I will share some of them: Nakayama Munetoshi (super-inspiring to keep it in loop all day long while you create some nice visual experiments 😛 hehe), their second compilation Terminal Dream II (to have a quick overview of their fine taste) and also the fresh EP from Supra-Celeste. But don’t miss all the others!!

Nakayama Munetoshi says: “I make background music for my hair salon using five synthesizers I’ve got set in the wall next to the cash register. They’re set up with different tunes and wavelengths so that music loops up and changes slowly throughout the day. I’ve got sound spreading through the shop until I switch it off at night. Instead of using DAW, I prefer to do one take recording using tape loops, circuit bending, sampling, and analog synthesizers. The sounds in my space can be really low bass noises. Like achromatic sounds. This album is just a sample of what’s going on day to day in my shop.”
